Zinc in practice

From a process called galvanizing, steel structures are coated with a thin layer of zinc and are protected from corrosion; increasing their service life with no need for constant maintenance. Also, zinc is used for making metallic alloys, such as brass, bronze, Zamac, among others.

SHG Zinc

Tough and dynamic, Special High Grade (SHG) zinc is registered in LME and can be supplied in the formats of ingots, jumbos, and granules – being suitable for different applications: galvanizing, manufacturing of materials and use in the chemical industry.

CGG Alloys

The CGG zinc alloys, used in the continuous galvanizing process, have an addition of up to 1.0% of aluminum. They can be produced in 1t or 2t jumbos, with different shapes and chemical compositions, meeting the needs of our customers.

Special Alloys

Always seeking the best technical and economic solutions, we make special alloys from SHG zinc. These alloys are used in galvanizing processes, containing different chemical elements such as aluminum, nickel and bismuth, allowing better surface finish on galvanized parts, reduction in specific zinc consumption and greater corrosion resistance.
